Need to Know

Many of the health programs require a mandatory criminal history check and drug screening prior to starting the clinical portion of a program. Conviction of a felony or misdemeanor will preclude eligibility on admission to the clinical portion of these programs. It’s the student's responsibility to check a program's guidelines to determine if this is a requirement.

The Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, and Diagnostic Medical Sonography programs require an admission exam administered at OCC’s Auburn Hills campus.

The Skills to Succeed

Today’s workforce demands highly skilled and knowledgeable employees. Our health profession programs offer an integrated approach to learning which allows students to increase their marketable skills as a healthcare professional. In traditional classroom and clinical settings our programs emphasize the skills and knowledge you’ll need to be successful in a fast-growing and high-demand healthcare career.

Flexible Programs for Working Adults

Designed for those already working in the health professions as well as those just starting, our programs offer students the flexibility they need to balance personal, work and academic demands. In particular our Nursing and Medical Assisting programs offer multiple options for advancement.
