Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for this scholarship opportunity, you:

  • are a Michigan resident since July 1 of the previous calendar year
  • have a parent who is a Michigan resident since July 1 of the previous calendar year, if you are a dependent child
  • graduated from high school in Michigan with a diploma or a certificate of completion or achieved a high school equivalency certificate in 2023 or later
  • have not yet earned an associate or bachelor’s degree
  • have not yet earned a degree, certificate, or other credential with this scholarship

How to Apply

Step 1: Complete the Michigan Achievement Skills Scholarship application in the MiSSG Student Portal by logging in or creating an account to start the application. 
Step 2: Be enrolled or enroll in an eligible career training program.
Note: You will need to show proof of a high school diploma.
